Project Description: CVL is the Lead Planner and Engineer on this 240-unit, single-family-for-lease project in Goodyear, Arizona with pool, clubhouse, mini storage, valet garbage pickup, car washing facilities, urban walking trail. Tasks include; site planning, landscape architecture, topographic and ALTA surveying and civil engineering for on-site improvements and off-site major arterial improvements to adjacent right of way. Interesting design elements include; walking track around the periphery of the site, relocating existing irrigation canals, designing trash compactors in lieu of trash enclosures, innovative parking to support parking structures for larger vehicles, tot lots, dog parks, pools and community center. Off-site improvements involved working with City of Goodyear staff to accommodate proposed Yuma Road improvements and work with APS to shift easements to allow 69KV electric transmission lines to cross the right of way without costly realignment.
