The Toh‘nanees’dizi

Boundary Survey

The Toh’nanees’dizi
Navajo County, Arizona

Services Provided:  Civil Engineering, Land Surveying

Project Description: The Toh’nanees’dizi was a series of four projects on the Navajo Nation. They included the Community Center, Dinosaur Tracks Monument, a cemetery, and the rodeo grounds.  CVL was responsible for the verification of the old surveys and conducted an updated boundary survey.

Previous surveys that were performed by others were found to be incorrect. Early coordination with the Navajo Nation Chapter House – through meetings and field visits – helped to clarify final boundary survey locations.  Corrections to the previous survey prevented construction of retaining walls in the wrong location, thereby saving our client time and construction dollars.
