Ed has over 10 years of experience performing comprehensive hydraulic and hydrologic analysis. He specializes in water resources including two-dimensional hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, floodplain mapping, sediment transport modeling, dam breach studies, non-Newtonian tailings dam breach studies, and storm water infrastructure design. He has performed analysis for clients on several continents and has experience working with both public and private clients. Ed has extensive two-dimensional modeling experience and is knowledgeable on a wide variety of software including FLO-2D, HEC-RAS, HECHMS, HEC-1, ArcGIS, Q-GIS, HEC-6T, and Fluvial-12. His experience ranges from Area Drainage Master Plans to complex multi-discipline failure modes analysis and emergency action planning in the mining industry. Ed has extensive experience using Python programming to automate processes, such as model development and processing, and generating maps and visual aids. Ed uses his technical expertise, operational skills, and practical experience to efficiently lead the technical development of his projects. He strives to think about how to develop projects to balance the needs and desires of all stakeholders and facilitate the development and implementation of high-value solutions.
