Project Description: Hampden Town Center is a transit-oriented development (TOD) within walking distance of a light rail stop. The urban, high-density in-fill site includes luxury rentals, mid-priced housing and age-restricted housing. The Town Center Terrace consists of 260 condominiums, some with access to additional ground-floor areas that are zoned for commercial/retail uses to promote the TOD experience.
Value Added: The intricate, detailed design of multifamily projects involves complex grading to ensure minimum drainage slopes within swales and away from buildings. Knowledge of handicap accessibility criteria and an understanding of implementing building slab and garage steps to accomplish all desired results is a science that must be at the forefront of multifamily design.
CVL provided the site engineering for this dense, urban community. The Town Center Terrace consists of 260 condominiums, some with access to additional ground-floor areas that are zoned for commercial/retail uses to promote the TOD experience. CVL’s staff of managers helped our client maximize density while adhering to driveway slope, open space, parks and parking requirements.
