Horizontal Alignment & Vertical Controls

Wild Horse Pass Electric Sub Station
Maricopa, Ariz.

Project Size: 4-mile route

Project Description: CVL was responsible for the horizontal alignment and vertical controls necessary in the 4-mile route survey for a proposed 69kv installation on the Gila River Indian Community.  CVL also prepared legal descriptions and the exhibits necessary for the proposed easement line.

Added Value: Multiple stakeholders with varying concerns were involved. CVL acted as the liaison between APS and the GRIC.  Through early coordination meetings with APS survey personnel and the GRIC Utility Authority, we were able to address all stakeholder concerns and helped to verify the correct route for the 69kV line.  By addressing stakeholders early in the process, it minimized miscommunications.  Because of this, the project was completed on time.
