Project Description: The inter-connected Meadows community in Castle Rock, Colorado features schools, churches, playgrounds, ball fields, pools, restaurants and a cultural arts center. Also located within are 24 miles of trails and 1,100 acres of parks or open space for public use.
Value Added: CVL is working with The Meadows developer on a continuous basis to provide site planning, cost estimating, infrastructure design and final site design on a 300-acre parcel zoned for commercial, office and industrial uses. The work involves providing maximum flexibility for potential users while minimizing upfront costs to attract prospective buyers.
For office buildings in the area, CVL provided site planning, platting, utility service design, grading design, earth balance calculations, and a water and sewer study. CVL also provided civil engineering services for a 7-acre cinema theater site — the first and only in Castle Rock. CVL initiated the design and obtained expedited permitting and approvals within three months. This fast-track project also required mass grading, drainage analysis, storm water and regional detention design, and water and sewer infrastructure design during that time frame.
