Project Description: Pueblo Springs Ranch, at an astonishing 24,000 acres, comprises the largest master planned community development currently under design in Colorado, and certainly one of the largest in the Southwestern United States.  CVL has been the project engineer, and project planning team since 2006.  This colossal undertaking is a vision to provide a modern sustainable community for 70,000 families, along with municipal town centers, industrial parks, commercial and retail centers, convention centers, hospitals, schools, college campus, golf courses, sports and entertainment facilities, and natural open space amenities.

The master plan design includes upgrading and doubling the capacity of the City of Pueblo’s current sanitary sewer treatment facility, and providing infrastructure extensions of up to 20 miles in length to serve the site.  An environmental study area is being dedicated along the Fountain Creek drainage way, which meanders through the site, and is tributary to the Arkansas River.  This Fountain Creek area is an oasis of wetland and lowland vegetation and wildlife, and is being enhanced and incorporated into the overall design for the project.

Major roadway networks are being designed, including elevated interchanges on Interstate 25, that will also bridge the UPRR Rail tracks.  Several bridges over the Fountain Creek wetland area are planned, along with several major onsite water quality and storm water detention and retention/ infiltration basins.
