Coe & Van Loo Consultants, Inc. (CVL) is pleased to announce that Colin Hanson has joined the CVL team as an Assistant Project Manager. With a decade of experience in the landscape architectural field, Colin has worked on a variety of landscape and planning projects. His experience ranges from single family residential design, multi-family design, and master plan communities for zoning and entitlement preparation. With a drive for quality design experience, Colin places strong focus on communication and collaboration. Working closely with engineers, architects, and clients, he has been able to parlay all of these collaborative experiences into a unique style of project management and design. Colin ensures that a project is both innovative, and efficient, while keeping the site fun, inviting, and interesting for the visitors.

Paul Hara - Director of Energy Mr. Hara has over 12 years of experience in consulting, project management, and account management experience in the energy efficiency, renewable energy, and energy capital infrastructure space. His engagements span from strategy to implementation, leading projects related to capital infrastructure, transmission and distribution, asset management, customer engagement, operating model, and energy efficiency programs at various utilities. Mr. Hara has led new business development and account management efforts for public clients and private clients in the energy sector across the West Coast. Currently, Mr. Hara is leading the capital infrastructure development for a cutting-edge semi-conductor facility. In his free time, Paul likes to go on culinary adventures through new cities with his fiancée, when he isn’t cheering on the Dodgers. He also enjoys golfing and ocean fishing.

Nick Stafford, PE, CFM - Project ManagerCoe & Van Loo Consultants, Inc. (CVL) is pleased to announce that Nick Stafford, PE, CFM has joined the CVL team as a Project Manager. Nick has 9 years of engineering and project development experience, including H&H modeling for floodplain mapping and revisions, dam rehabilitation design, emergency action planning, drainage master planning, technical drainage studies, and hydraulic modeling for permitting of construction in floodways. He is proficient in AutoCAD, ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HEC-1, FLO-2D, SWMM, StormCAD, HY-8, and FlowMaster. His experience also extends to construction management and construction inspection, including asphalt and concrete testing, and quantity and cost tracking. Nick served as the water resources analyst for several floodplain mapping revisions, including park expansions, residential developments, commercial developments, and drainageway crossings. His experience includes, Letters of Map Revision (LOMR), Conditional Letters of Map Revision (CLOMR), Flood Insurance Studies (FIS), Flood Hazard Area Delineation (FHAD) studies, Technical Support Data Notebooks (TSDNs) for submittals to Urban Drainage Flood Control District (UDFCD), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), master plans, reports, as-builts; and topographic data from surveys and other local, regional, or national datasets. He performed hydraulic assessments of channels and channel modifications, existing and proposed floodway crossings and structures, and local grading in floodplains based on proposed or as-built plans. He was also recently involved with the formation of an emergency action plan (EAP) for a detention facility in northwest Las Vegas, including two-dimensional hydraulic modeling and inundation mapping, and identification and timing of affected critical facilities. With his vast amount of knowledge in storm water management, Nick is known for his commitment to identifying creative solutions, making him an ideal fit for CVL.
