Project Description: Booster Pump Station No. 1 (BPS No. 1) is one of three booster pump stations that provide water to the City of Eloy’s water service area. BPS No. 1 had only been minimally improved since it was constructed in 1965. The City contracted with CVL in 2017 to provide engineering services to rehabilitate the BPS No. 1 by designing a new 2,400 gpm booster pump station to replace the existing booster pump station with new pumps and necessary electrical, disinfection, piping and site improvements. Design of the improvements was completed in 2018 and project is currently beginning construction with PCL Construction as the Construction Manager at Risk. The City is funding the project through the Water Infrastructure Finance Authority of Arizona (WIFA). CVL is currently providing construction services for the project and managing the oversight required by WIFA.
